Cinzo’s Sugo Pomodoro
(cheen-zohs sue-go po-mo-do-ro)
It’s the simple things that keep me curious…Why is Cinzo’s Sugo Pomodoro so dang GOOD!!! Keep everything simple in life is key just like the ingredients in this small batch tomato sauce. Crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, black pepper, fresh garlic, whole leaf basil, yellow onions, red wine & water…THAT’S IT! AND NO ADDED SUGAR!!!!
Through my life, I paid attention to both of my Grandmothers, my Mom, my Aunts & my Uncles make their recipes…whoever was making sauce at the time. So, I took pieces of their methods, techniques & ingredients and apply those to Cinzo’s Sugo Pomodoro then made it my own!
Please enjoy Cinzo’s Sugo Pomodoro on its own! Dip your bread in it! Put it on pasta…make Bolognese, meatballs, lasagna, manicotti, cannelloni, chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, sausage & peppers. If you’re trying to skip the carbs, try in on spaghetti squash or zoodles (zucchini noodles). Heck, you can even make it into a Tomato Basil Soup—just stir in some heavy cream and serve Grilled Cheese on the side!
